Function of steel billet handling truss robot

In order to achieve automation and efficiency in long-distance and heavy load steel billet handling, Trumen Company has designed and manufactured a heavy-duty steel billet handling truss robot. This truss robot is a two axis double Z-axis truss robot that grabs and transports steel billets between multiple workstations and places them in designated positions. The handling robot has fast response speed, smooth operation, saves labor costs, and can effectively improve the efficiency of steel billet transportation.

Introduction to the workflow of truss robots:

In the production line, stations ① to ⑥ are the feeding ports, and the travel of this truss robot in this section is 15170mm; in the production line, stations ⑦ to ② are the discharging ports, and the travel of this truss robot in this section is 15150mm. The maximum allowable travel of the single gripper of the truss robot is 15400mm. The X-axis travel of each action is the distance between two stations.

In automatic mode, the robotic arm performs handling operations between two workstations, and there is no situation of cross workstation handling; In manual mode, the robotic arm can perform cross station handling operations.
